Hi, few days ago I bought new XPS 13 9300 (WIN 10 PRO). From the begging I noticed some problems with drivers when I wanted to update them. At first I tried to update them through Assists Support and each time I got BSOD. Then I manually updated every driver in my PC, downloaded software for updating drivers, downloaded every driver for Dell website and still I was unable to update them. Then I updated them again through Assist Support (only one at time) and I think that Realtek Audio Driver was causing this. Also I was unable to install Win10 updates through settings. After that I tried a few times to restore my laptop to default settings and after few tries Windows started to reinstall. When the installation was almost done, my laptop crashed again and I got BSOD. However now I am unable to get to Windows becasue I am stuck in BSOD loop (DELL logo and BSOD and again). Everytime I got these error codes: IRQL_not_less_or_equal; Kernel Security Check Failure; SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. What can be the reason why is this happening?
The same thing just happened to me when I updated all of the drivers via the Dell Update application for my XPS 13 9300. I was stuck in a BSOD loop for some time before I was able to go to a former restore point. Based on what you mentioned about the Realtek drivers, I installed all other drivers except that one and was able to reboot successfully. The Dell drivers website for my service tag lists two different Realtek drivers, I attempted to install the "other one" which was 6.0.8955.1 ... i.e. not the one the Dell Update application was installing. The driver installation first attempted to uninstall the existing driver, which resulted in another BSOD, the error message was regarding a corrupted Intel Audio driver though.. so after a reboot I uninstalled and reinstalled the Intel Audio Driver, and then I reinstalled the Realtek driver and this time everything was successful. I haven't had any issues since. It's pretty upsetting that the Dell Update application cannot be trusted though! Grrr
I solved it by creating bootable USB and installing new copy of Windows. Here you can download Win10 copy through MediaCreationTool (official Microsoft tool). When you are stuck in BSOD loop you have to pres F12 multiple times when your screen is displaying DELL logo (before BSOD), Then you have to choose to boot Win10 through your USB not through your SSD.

So I just received my xps 9300 after much delay, went to the Dell site and just tried to download and install the latest recommend drivers.
=======================
This is not a required step for a new Dell laptop.
Personally, I would have just started using it normally.

Yeah but I don't want to start using it normally and have outdated drivers on my new laptop for this price and I expect that it will work normally after driver update..not BSOD.
Having the same problem on my new xps 13. Just got it a week ago from the factory. Dell, please start testing drivers before releasing them through Support assist!
I have this laptop since March and I have the same issues over and over again, and I had 2 motherboards replacements - and I'm still getting those BSOD !!! DELL this is a complete disgrace!!!
