How to restore to previous date?

Please tell me where on Dell.com i can find instructions on how to restore my computer to the previous date, i think its called previous registry.

It will help to post operating system and other system info and what you're trying to undo?

If you want to go back to a previous registry date:
Enter Safe mode by shutting down computer and tapping F8 when starting. (may take a few times, sometimes contrary entering safe mode). Choose Command prompt only and at the C: prompt type
scanreg /restore (that's a space after scanreg) Choose restore and that will bring up a list of dates. Think this is what you want.
And as an aside, don't be suprised when you go back to normal mode your icons are mover around, just drag them back where they were.

Thank You Glenn. THis was exactly what i had forgotten (the command)
So its just C:scanreg/restore??
ANy spaces??

yes on the spaces, one after scanreg.
