Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Factory Restore
I can't seem to find where to factory restore my new Dell Inspiron Mini 1010. The manual gives me steps for pressing F8 several times.. on boot to go to the Vista Advanced Boot Options and then selecting Repair Your Computer. Then blah blah blah click Dell Factory Image Restore. The only problem is, the dell inspiron mini 10's come with XP not vista... Why does the manual say vista? I've delt with Dell factory restores in the past. but this one has got me going in circles.

F11 is not on the kbd you have to attach a usb keyboard and then turn it on. same for f8 on my dell.

FOR the love of GOD, someone please disable this thread already! The situation was resolved like 2 years ago... I've even selected not to get feeds from this anymore and yet they keep coming to my email. SOMEONE Save me!

so sorry, but just got this infected machine, trying to help a relative and this thread helped. sorry I inconvenienced you. This thread helped me help someone who is less fortunate.

It's nice that it helped someone, originally when I started this thread and asked for help with the laptop the situation was resolved by me returning the laptop and getting something else. It just seems when I get the reply emails from this thread they seem to be directed toward my original problem I had. If it's still useful use this but someone tell me how to stop receiving emails from it!

I see on the right side of the screen an option to stop receiving emails on this thread. If you've tried this and it failed, I'm not sure what else you can do other than block email with "Dell Inspiron Mini...." in the subject line. Thanks again for the indirect help.

dear members yes i have benn doing this restore i will work read please hold down ctrl F11 for 1 minute please wait 1 minute i wiil come out with the restoration tool
