Can't change display after W7 upgrade to Dell 1100
My first post here.
Have recently had my Dell 1100 desktop upgrade from Vista to Widows 7.
All fine except I can't change the display from fixed setting of 600 X 480. The messeage "You cant change this setting because the height of your disply is less than 600 pixels.
Grateful for any help here. I have dredged the internet without success and I think it may be that Dell have to issue an updated driver?
Hope someone else has solved this problem.
Regards
Ari

you do realize that merely upgrading the OS is not enough, right ?

As freakmarket says, your integrated graphics are most likely not supported. But, your PC has at least one PCI slot, and you may be able to upgrade (if the slot's open) to a new ATI or Nvidia graphics card. It shouldn't be too expensive. Here's a link for some you might look at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201069609642&name=PCI.
For a few bucks, it could get you going again!
Best of luck.
