ORDERED HARD DRIVE AND WOULD NOT FIT IN MY 531 NEED TO GET RETURN LABEL

ORDERED 320 HARD DRIVE THROUGH DELL REP

HARD DRIVE IS INCORRECT AND WILL NOT FIT  DELL REP AGREED

DELL REP TRANSFERED ME 9 TO 10 TIMES GOT CUT OFF ON PHONE 2 HOURS PHONE BATTERY GOT WEAK AND SWITCHED TO OTHER PHONE

FINALLY GOT REP FOR RETURN  REP   WAS TO SEND EMAIL   THAT WAS 1 1/2 HOURS AGO

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND DELL DOES NOT GET MY  EMAIL INCORRECT WHEN I ORDER

Why doesn't it fit?

There is a 95% chance the OP ordered an IDE drive, and the Inspiron 531 requires SATA.

The lesson here is check your manual before ordering parts, because that guy over in India making 13 rupees a day doesn't know.
