Do you have another "disk" shown in Disk Management with Unallocated Space (right-click My Computer, Manage)?

So, did you set up the new drive in OpenManage or in the CTRL-A BIOS utility for the RAID controller?  If you did it from Windows, you will likely need to reboot before it is seen.  Remember on an Adaptec PERC, you Initialize the disk THEN create a container using that disk.  Initialization, if done after configuring the drive, will wipe out any RAID settings previously configured on the drive.  (LSI PERC's have an Initialize that is completely different from the Initialize function of an Adaptec.)

Ahh that was it.

Thank you so much! It's working now!

Hi,

I used the CTRL-A BIOS Utility for the RAID controller. I also initialized the disk first and then created a container for it. The BIOS utility is recognizing the Container and the Disk, and I also did a scan on the disk from the Utility, and it reported no problems.

Thanks,

Will G
