dell latitude E6400 Bios password

hi all i have a dell latitude E6400 .

it has a bios password that i forget it .

i know there is a main password or mother password that i can use it .

i need this password . can anyone help me ?

You must call Dell Support.  Once you prove ownership, they will generate and issue the password to you.

No, there is not.  The master password is system-specific.

The cost of a call is about $60 if you're out of warranty, so it's not that expensive.  You must, however, be the registered owner and capable of proving that.

no ther is a password for all ,,, its global . but its expensive .

You can reset the BIOS password by removing the CMOS battery located on the system board. This can be a chore, depending on the laptop.

Check the web for sites that publish known "back-door" passwords for various BIOS versions

Don't waste your time messing with the CMOS battery. The password is not held in CMOS, it is in eeprom. Removing the battery will do nothing except reset the CMOS. The system will still want the password. Removing the CMOS battery does not work on any recent laptop of most if not all mainstream manfacturers. It is an anti-theft mechanism, if it was that easy there would be no point.

i have buy it in ebay, so idont know what is the password before

and i need to reinstall my windows due to crash.

i have try to email the dell support, but almost 1 week, there's no reply for them

See above.  Call Dell, verify ownership.  They'll generated a bypass password for you.

The other option is to replace the mainboard.
