HELP!!! Upgrading needsa for XPS 410

Hello,

I have an XPS 410  Dimension DXP061 Intel (R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz  1.86 GHz , with 1.00 GB of RAM on a 32-bit Operating System.

 I want at least 3.00 GB of RAM and  around a 3.00GHZ processor.  

I have now Idea how to upgrade my processor, but i know it can be done.  I am ready to buy 4 1gb memory cards, but I would like to have everything here to install/upgrade at one time.  Can anyone help me with suggestions on what processor to purchase (one that will be compatible), how to install it, and list things I might need to install it?
