Do I need a new heatsink or cooler if I am replacing my E6300 to a Q6600?

RE: Dell Dimension 9200

I recently saw the price for the Q6600 come down so I thought I would make the investment and upgrade. I know I will need a new PSU which I will buy (ATX - standard 750W).

However my question is can I still use my existing cooler that came with my original E6300 (intel dual core 1.8ghz) with a Q6600 (~2.4ghz core 2 quad)? If not then please can some one advise me on a cooler  or heatsink that will fit?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

My build / mods :Dell 9200, 4 Gig RAM, Radeon HD5450 Graphics, Intel Core Duo 1.8 Ghz, 300 GB (RAID 2 x Hard drive), media card reader, original PSU 375 W.

Yes, you should be able to use the exsisting heatsink, without any issues.

You do not need a new PSU especially a 750 watt.  I had a Q6600 that worked just fine on the 350 watt unit plus a more power hungry video card than what you have.
