We get lots of unknown alerts for these nodes via AXION1

Examples of unknown alerts pertain to User Logoff, User Login, perfbeat out of tolerance, complete garbage collection, etc.

- I realized after I posted I didn't state my issue

thanks for the post.

That _is_ a bit of an old OMSA version...

But anyway, is it discovering ok as a server and you see the inventory on the inventory page from the device tree?

For the alerts, are _some_ of the alerts defined?  That is, if you simulate an alert, say by going into OMSA and dropping the temp threshold, does it generate a formatted alert in the OME console?

If that works ok, then you should be set up fine.

You may need to review the enterprise OID or alert details that are coming across and see if it is defined in OME (look at the category tab on the alert page).  There may be some EMC mib that is not defined to OME and that is why the alerts are undefined.

FYI, if that is the case we have a new MIB import tool that may help with this.  Look on the www.delltechcenter.com/ome page for more info.

thanks,

Rob
