Well assuming your number of devices is in line with what is recommended for 4 cores per the readme, this all looks quite good spec wise. But regardless, I wouldn't expect to see a netmon crash.
And just to clarify, you did check the *Dell* section of the event viewer?
Ok, well, I've not seen this. I'm going to have to direct you to open a ticket at 800-945-3355 so they can collect more logs to dig into.
Other thing would be if there is any other software on the OME server that might be causing a conflict (something else using the SNMP port, etc.?)....
Finals question: Is this a new install of OME 1.1 (and 1.1.1 patch), or an upgrade from ITA older OME?
We are monitoring about 300 items. Sorry missed that part.
Yes the "Dell Openmanage" part of the logs. I also checked application and system logs to see if anything was there.
It's by itself on the server. This is a upgrade from OME 1.0 to 1.1, with patch 1.1.1 applied. today (after the issue popped up, in an attempt to resolve the issue)

Hi there and thanks for the post.
A few quick questions...
1. What protocols are defined in your discovery wizard?
2. How much memory on your OME server?
3. How many cores on your OME server?
4. How did you define your ip/hosts in the disc wizard? (e.g., 10.1.1.1-255, single ip addrs, etc.)
5. Do you have any alert filters or alert actions defined? How many?
6. Do you have SQL installed on the same server as OME or different? If different how much RAM/Cores?
7. Have you changed any of the default disc/inv/status schedules or polling times?
8. Do you any error messages in the OME logs (located in the OME gui)?
9. Do you see any logs in the windows event viewer (under the Dell section)?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi there,
It's using SNMP and WMI
4GB of Memory
4 cores,
single IP addresses
1 action (email on warning/critical),
External SQL server. 196GB of RAM, 16 cores (mutliple databases on this, but it's functioning within expected limit.s
We discover once a day, we inventory once an hour
The logs look ok in the OME gui
nothing in the event viewer.

Hmmmm, ok, stumped. Better open a ticket and maybe the other logs will provide some value.
