T3600

We have a few T3600's connected to Dell 24" Monitors that have the optional speaker sound bar connected to them. Some are working fine, but two of them are not switching to the monitor speakers when they are plugged into the back of the PC. The sound is still geing generated by the build in speaker in the front of thePC.

I've not had a chance to try swapping the speaker bars around with working ones, however if the speaker was faulty, I would have though you would get no sound rather than it continuing to use the onboard speakers?

Has anyone else experienced this, or have any suggestions as to what could be causing the problem?

Hi,

Welcome to the community

Have you tried to plug it in at the front audio port? If not, please check that port and test. Let me know of the results. Thank you.

Yeah, I've tried both ports but with no change. It seems like the onboard audio is preventing it switching it to the external speakers.

Can you try to re-install audio driver? Check this link www.dell.com/.../precision-t3600
