Cannot configure buttons for a WM514 wireless mouse

Hello. I just rcvd my Dell XPS AIO27 and I can't figure out how to configure the mouse buttons that sit on the edge of the mouse. I did a search for the  Dell driver but everything points back to the Dell branded Logitech Unifying software. This doesn't help with the mouse driver...

The current driver installed and that came with the PC is the default Microsoft HID compliant driver. No options to configure the outside buttons. Please help as I would like to use these for the "back" and "forward" commands. Thx

Any ideas?

Lame. I figured it out by searching for "Logitech WM514" instead of "Dell WM514".

The side buttons need to be pressed inconjunction with the scroll wheel. For back-hold the side button and press the scroll wheel to the left.

Hi Peruvianeddie,

I appreciate you have figured it out to use Mouse.

You may use the following link for user manual for the Mouse:

ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_electronics/esuprt_mice_keyboards/dell-wir-lasr-mouse-wm514_Owner%27s%20Manual_en-us.pdf

Click on features. It will show you the shortcut gestures which you may use with mouse.

Feel free to reply for any further question.

Hi,

why is it not possible to change the function of the buttons?

I am using now windows 10 and the functions are not working with the notification center or the window manager!!!!

The mouse and keyboard kit is really nice... just the functions of the mouse side buttons are strange. A little cutomization of the buttons would help a lot of people!!!

Best Regards
