If your raid type was selected not that long ago and the raid set is still verifying, you will not be able to reboot, not even in CLI. You'll have to wait for the raid to finish initializing and then do the reboot.

This is only since 6.0.7 as all previous versions I've worked with would let you reboot (in the GUI or CLI) when the raid set was still verifying.

One option is to set up the unit via serial, set the management IPs (port and group), go into the GUI, decline the option to configure the unit (set the raid type), and just do the firmware upgrade. The GUI reboot will still fail, but you can at least reboot (restart) it in CLI. One note about this restart; it first does just a regular restart (failover to the other controller), and only then starts the firmware upgrade restart process, so there are really 2 failovers in total in this case.

I am having a similar issue after upgrading the PS 5000 to 6.0.7 as I was preparing to add another PS6500 to the group.

After entering my credentials, I get the following message "The GUI was restarted and the data connection was reinitialized. You should not use browser buttons to navigate the GUI or refresh GUI pages because it will cause reconnects and may affect GUI operations."

I restarted the array from CLI and still unable to login to the gui as the same messages keeps poping.

Thanks

My issue was resolved by updating the Java to the latest version.

Thanks
