Hi there and thanks for the post.

Can you just clarify if you are running OME v1.2 or v1.3?

Or if this is just a general OM question, please cross post in the General System Mgt forum as you will find more OM guys that might have more info on this.

Thanks!

Rob

I would run these commands that require OMSA:

omreport storage vdisk controller=0

omreport storage pdisk controller=0

They will tell you the health of the virtual disk(s) for controller 0 and health of each physical disk. Was the disk you replaced a Dell "approved" disk? If not you may see a non-critical error for the drive ID on the drive you replaced.

Where can I run these commands? In my Open Manage Server Administrator 7.4.0 there doesn’t seem to be a place where I could execute commands... The new disks are the same product as the ones originally shipped in the server by Dell (same part number). Thanks! Paolo Caviasca

Now the disk 1 LED indicator is blinking green (as if there's activity and it's all right)!

The volume status is "Ready": this normally means it's ok and redundant!

All the four disks are online and now the disk 1 is both in the enclosure and in physical disks outside!!!

I didn't do anything! I don't understand...

The version is Open Manager Server Administrator 7.4.0 (OMSA?), not OME I think. Thanks! Paolo Caviasca

Thanks for the detail.

Can you please cross post over in the General Systems Mgt forum?  That's where the OMSA guys hang out and should be able to offer some ideas. :)

Thanks!
