Yes, I'm having this issue. Been on the road lately, and noticed this happening last time I traveled, but it's getting more incessant. Seems this is a common dell affliction on multiple models by the googles, but no one really has a solid answer... Seems like flaky bios.
I use linux on mine, which works great aside from this issue. Before everyone starts pointing fingers, oddly when it gets in this mode, I'll literally shut the laptop down hard, and watch as it comes back to life on it's own! This isn't a kernel thing, but rather a buggy bios/acpi thing...

Ah, well this literally has nothing connected to it externally save the power brick and this occurs. Ghost in the shell...
Really frustrating, as I'll watch it shut down, throw it in my laptop bag, migrate, pull it out, and find it burning up in my bag. Luckily with the haswell chip it doesn't output a lot of heat (I had this happen with my old hp elitebook occasionally, I'm amazed it didn't slag at times).
I just updated my bios to A10 from A8, didn't see anything in the release notes, but going to see if this makes a difference. I saw some references to disabling adaptive power, so I did that in the bios too, so going to see if this helps.
The other odd part is it doesn't do it all the time, only after the machine has been run for a while, suspended off and on, coming and going. It seems something is destabilizing at the acpi bios layer over time.
