OME, receiving alerts from ESXi hosts

Question

Hello. I need to clarify way of getting failed HW alerts from ESXi 5.1 host to OME. I have hosts with VIB for ESXi 5.1 installed, discovered via OME, I can see all HW status and health in OME. I have nor set SNMP alerting on hosts. Will I get an alert when host disk(or other hw) is failed ? Or should I also set SNMP alerts on ESXi host. I need to run script when alert comes to OME. Hi Martin,

You will need to enable the SNMP alerting in ESXi and point to OME as the destination. Then only, OME will be able to receive the alerts. Using those alerts you can do all the scripting you need.
