Black Screen Of Death error in Windows server 2008 R2 sp1 standard edition

I bought Power edge server from singapore and now i use in myanmar. At the end of last month, server shows the HDD1 fault error and i fixed it by replacing new harddisk. After replacing, auto rebuilt this disk by raid 5 configuration. But after that, Os booting and stop with black with mouse cursor and can't see login screen. I test many ways:

1. I test Ctrl+Alt+Del and other shortcut key but nothing

2. I restart it -----same result BSOD

3.go to safe mode----same result BSOD

4.go to directory serivce restore mode---same result BSOD

5.go to recovery mode and made chkdsk and also sfc /scannow with offboot command --same result BSOD

6.i don't have any ASR backup

please i need to repair it ..anyway to recover.

Thank you.

Hello,

Let me confirm some things to assist in resolving the situation.  To start, the problem may vary depending the model type.  Which PowerEdge model do you have?

Also, was the hard drive fault the only error that showed prior to the the black screen?

Now, to further help isolate if the problem is hardware or OS related, i would suggest starting with running diagnostics to verify if any other errors are reported. If not, It may be required to take the system to a minimum to POST configuration to isolate any possible hardware issues. Once you clarify what system model you have, we can advise the proper minimum to POST procedures.

While you have system open, you should also verify that the components are firmly seated.

To further isolate an OS vs hardware issue, you may download our OMSA Live Linux Boot Disk and boot to this OMSA environment to verify the stability.

Here is link the OMSA Live ISO.

Please let us know the model and any other information that you find.

Sorry for late reply. My SVR model is Power edge R310.Yes it's the only error before BSOD. I tested hard disks by System service. My new hard drive is all ok and in raid system; the new hard drive is already built up 100%. So i thought the error won't be depend or hardware.  Please tell your suggestion and which test i should be run and you want to check. Please help me because Dell technical service for SVRs is not available for our country. My warranty license is still active but i bought from sg.

If you have the LCD display, press the 'i' button for 7 seconds when the system halts to see if there is an OS hand-off. If it does show an OS hand-off, then the problem is OS related you may need to re-install the OS.  If you have the LED indicators instead of the LCD screen, see if there is a fault code sequence and check the chart below for any possible issues.

R310 LED codes:

Furthermore, during the black screen, are you able to toggle the keyboard lights on and off by pressing Num Lock or Caps Lock?  If not, it may point to a hardware fault.  Sometimes it could be something simple as in a short in USB mouse or Keyboard. Remove all USB devices during your isolation of the issue.

If there are no visible hardware faults, you may still run the full hardware diagnostics through the F10 USC menu to rule hardware.  During the full diags, if you don't have an optical disk in the optical drive, then expect at least 1 error indicating that the media test could be ran due to lack of media to test. You will also see impi 2900: historical errors, which is just informational reporting of the old errors in your hardware such as your previous hard drive error fault.

Burning that OMSA Live Linux disk that I mentioned previously is another way to rule out hardware such that it will allow you boot to alternative OS and verify hardware stability.
