Hello daniella2013,

Which iSCSI san do you have as you didn’t list it in your post? Second is how many cables do you have connected to both controllers and & how many switches are there that connect the san to the Host?  Also how long has this issue been going on or did it just start recently?  What upgrades have you done to either the san or the host recently?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

• The SAN is Dell PS4100E.

• There are two controller modules each with a single iSCSI cable and a further MNG cable, the iSCSI cables are connected to two switches, which are linked with two network cables.

• We have recently updated to SAN build 7.06, but the issues have been occurring before then.

• The issue has been around for a good few weeks, but we have tried to fix by swapping the switches for a different make, just in case this was the issue.

The switches are cisco switches.

The switches are interconnected with two cables linking them.

We are using Hyper V 2012 R2…

Yes, they are Broadcom with iSCSI offload

When the SAN isn’t responding to Pings the other NICS in the other Hosts can PING each other….(so between Host pings on the iSCSI subnet is fine)

Because this is Windows Core then it is only the drivers which are installed, no GUI… I will look too to see if this is possible with Powershell

Is this a general Dell/Equallogic issue and is there a best practice to stop this happening?
