Your hard drive is bad and must be replaced.

I have the same issue - also have to try 15-20 times before it comes online.
PC diagnostics sometimes reports an issue with the DVD drive.
any luck getting this fixed??

thanks man - you are correct. It was the motherboard.
My standard warranty had just expired - had the laptop 14 months. They have agreed to extend my warranty and replace it under the extension :)
so getting it swapped out on Monday

fr clarity - I am paying for the warranty extension. It still works out much cheaper than replacing the motherboard on its own

you have probably messed up the boot oder. If you managed to enter the bios setup, try changing the boot options priorities. Hope it helps, peace V

I have the exact same problem, but I later figure it out that it was caused by the corrupted bios. After I updated my laptop bios from A07 to A08, everything is fine now.
