Problem with Windows 7 & PocketCloud

Problem with Windows 7 & PocketCloud

Had 2 problems with installation one of which I solved the other I haven't. During installation of the PocketCloud for windows I was asked to install TightVNC v2.0.2 however the "box" for the install was small & I could not resize it so I couldn't "see" the install button. I solved this by going to the web & getting the program directly. My new problem is similiar. The "Auto Discovery" box for sign in is the same size, cannot resize it or enlarge it so I cannot click the sign-in button (although I can enter the information as I can see that part of the box) I don't know why I cannot resize the box or enlarge it so as of right now there is nothing I can do. On my ipad the PocketCloud App shows my home PC as a discovered connection but after entering my password (I assume the same gmail password I used in the setup) it gives the message "could not connect to server" since I am unable to sign in to the pocket discovery on my computer. Any ideas?

Can you tell us what your display settings are? We haven't been able to reproduce the window resizing issue yet.

For the "Could not connect to server" error try these steps:
1) Right click on the TightVNC tray icon and select "Configuration".
2) Click on the "Access Control" tab.
3) Under "Loopback Connections" ensure that "Allow loopback connections" is checked.

Not sure what you want for display settings but the display is set at 1280x1024. The Loopback Connection box was not checked, it is now. Also it was confusing as to what password I was

supposed to enter in the ipad. I thought it wanted the password I had set up for PocketCloud (which didn't work) but I have just tried using the password for VNC & it does work. I am still
not able to log in to the "Auto Discovery" on my computer since the box remains small. I don't know what logging in will do as it seems I am able to access the desktop now without "logging in" to Auto Discovery which is a different password from the VNC password.

I could email you a picture of what the Auto Discovery Settings Box looks like on my computer if I had an email address to send it to.

We are aware of the "small box" issue with the Auto Discovery Settings page. We are working on a fix for this. In the meantime you can connect manually.

Chris:

I am having the same "small box" issue. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate N 64 bit. My display setting is 1680 x 1050. I tried changing this several times and it did not help.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible, because I can only see the email and password form fields in the Auto Discovery settings box.

It has driven me crazy and made me so nervous that I could thread a sewing machine needle with it running!!

So please hurry and finish developing your "small box vaccine".
