P20 Dual Monitors 1680x1050 - for one monitor only ?

P20 Dual Monitors 1680x1050 - for one monitor only ?

I have a brand new P20 unit connected to two Dell monitors with a native resolution of 1680x1050. When i connect my monitors to the unit and check the User Display options in the firmware the resolution options for monitor 1 show 1680x1050. When I go to monitor 2 the highest it will go is 1024x1024...it wont go any higher.

Anyone ever see this? I tired new cables, reseting the box, etc. It seems the second video output is locked? Or do I have a bad unit? The specs say this model can support two 1920x1080 monitors...any help?

Thanks!

One other thing you may want to try is, the setting for "native resolution". Make sure both are set for that and I think it will fix your problem. I haven't done dual monitor in a while but when I did I was using my (2) 20" HP monitors which are both native 1680x1050 as well. It worked just fine.

They're definitely capable of higher resolutions. We have quite a few P20s with dual screen x1080 monitors without issue.

Have you tried switching the monitors (i.e. hooking up the 1st monitor to the 2nd DVI port)? If the other monitor shows the problem after switching, I'd suspect it's the terminal. If you move the monitor that won't go to a higher resolution to the primary DVI port and it still can't go higher, it might be a compatibility issue with that specific monitor.
