Let me know how this turns out. I have several PE 2600 & 4600 in which I have tried this, but eventually ordered the Adaptec 39160 as my drives were never recognized.
It is highly recomended that disk and tape always be on separate busses to avoid any conflict that could occur. Although tape and disk on the same bus may work under some scenarios, it is not a DELL supported configuration.

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your answer, I just wnted to clarify this since DELL support tells me this is not possible when I call them.
And I have seen some posts telling otherwise. I just wanted to see if it was specific to my hardware.
