After latest Update (Kernel 3.19.0-65) wireless is no longer working

Hi,

I’ve had the XPS 13 for 1 day and after updating, no longer have wifi. I booted into kernel 3.19.0-23 but still the 8260 wireless card isn’t recognised.

I tried selecting a driver under ‘Intel Corporation: Unknown’ under ‘Software & Updates > Additional Drivers’, but it doesn’t take when I click Apply Changes. It’s currently set to ‘Do not use this device’.

I think I might be missing the wireless driver as when I type ‘dpkg -l | grep 8260’ I only see bt-intel8260-firmware. Should I have another driver installed for the 8260 wireless card? i.e. wifi-intel8260-firmware

Thanks all

I have recently posted the same question/problem. After days, still no answer from Dell on my very simple question whether there is a possibility to cleanly reinstall the wifi drivers for the Intel 8260 wifi device. Actually they should know this and, moreover, it would most likely solve our problem. The problem is that there is no wifi, thus no internet connection, which is necessary for the online installation processes. This could be bypassed by manually downloading .deb files from another pc, storing it on a pen drive and finally install them via "dpkg -i" on the XPS.
