I have the required combination of drives for the hybrid configuration. Or rather I purchased the required number of Dell SSDs to get the required configuration (the option to change into RAID 6 accelerated appears but throws an error when clicked on).
It feels like choosing RAID 10 no spares was a horrible idea from the start and now I can't convert it into other arrays. For example, is there any way to convert a RAID 10 (no spares) array to regular RAID 10 with hot spares? Using the GUI allows clicking on RAID 10 but doesn't produce any results.
No they're no longer under contract. Some drives failed and we took them out and made a smaller pool. Now we're trying to plug the leftover drives over from a hybrid SAN that failed.
Adding in compatible drives don't work as the SAN simply starts expanding the array (larger RAID 10 no spares array).
