Screen Problem in Inspiron serie 7000

A professor asked me to help him resolve an screen problem of his laptop. The problem we have is that the screen of the laptop itself is divided in 3 sections, the first one is black with a white rounded rectangle section, the second one is completely black, and the third one shows the computer screen properly.

If we connect an external screen we can see it properly. Tried updating drivers and all those things you normally do. Also we ran the dell system scan, and got this errors in monitor Test:

-WTS02-TOC Failed

-WMN01-LST Failed

-WTS03-NYZ Failed

Is there any solution that doesn't involve sending the laptop to technical support.
