Dropped my laptop. Help with backlight bleeding and potential hardware issues!
Yesterday I dropped my month old Inspiron laptop from approx. 1 meter height to a concrete surface while it was turned on. So far, miraculously, no major problems are showing except that the screen has some yellow tinting on the upper right corner. I searched about it and apparently it now suffers from backlight bleeding due to the damage I'd caused. Can this be repaired or does the screen needs to be replaced? No cracks nor scratches, just the yellow tint.
Also, what about the hard drive? I don't hear any scratching or clicking sound as described in forums I visited. I've just noticed that the Dell logo takes a little longer to pop when I turn the laptop on but overall the laptop works fine. Applications respond fast like the usual.
Any advice on these?

Please list your Dell model number and version of windows. Ex: Dell Inspiron 3543, windows 10
In the meantime, I'd suggest you run diagnostic tool to check hardware on the system. Please follow steps below.
1. Power off system. Remove all peripherals except AC adapter.
2. Power on system, quickly start tapping F12 key continuously until you see Preparing one time boot menu in the top right corner of the screen. In the boot menu, stroll down to Diagnostic and then click on it. After quick tests, click on hard drive, and then Thorough Test Mode. Report back any error code.

Anyway possible you can provide a image of the yellow tinting ? Does the yellow tinting appears when the computer is turn off? Please click on link below to troubleshoot LCD.

My laptop is Dell Inspiron 7460, Windows 10. I did the test you'd mentioned and no errors were found on it, surprisingly.
This is the yellow tinting I'm talking about. The damage can be seen where the cursor is located. I changed the background to black to make it clearer. It appears as soon as the Dell logo pops up when I turn the computer on, but not when it's turned off.
When the background is changed to a brighter and colorful one, you can't see it. It becomes more obvious with a darker background and the more I increase the brightness.

The only fix is a replacement screen - LCDs can't be repaired when damaged.
