R720 rebooting

hi, I have a Dell PowerEdge R720xd that gets stuck in the BIOS when booting. It successfully gets past the "configuring memory" and "configuring iDRAC" screens, but once it shows the "CPLD version : 103" with the various management engine versions/patches, it just reboot

No errors messages are displayed

No upgrade, no HW change on server.

Hello.

Consider stripping the system to minimum to POST with the following components:

  • One Power Supply
  • Control Panel (for power button functionality)
  • Working cable connection between control panel and system board
  • One Processor (CPU) in socket CPU1 (minimum for troubleshooting)
  • One Memory Module (DIMM) installed in socket A1
  • System Board
  • Backplane

Ensure that all USB devices including mouse and keyboard are disconnected.

Looks like it is not hardware related. Try perform update of the system BIOS and related firmware. Use this link to create a bootable ISO. https://dell.app.box.com/bootableR720
