XPS13 Password

Is the "system password" in the XPS13 Bios the same as the SSD password? If I set this password, and someones removes the SSD and plugs it into another computer, would they be able to read the content, or would they have to enter the password first?

Hi,

We’re listening. The SSD password is entirely different from the BIOS password. In order for you to set a password for system Hard Drive, please follow the below mentioned steps:

1. Please access BIOS. You can access BIOS by clicking on the F2 key when you power on the system.

2. Click on the security tab.

3. Select the option which says “set HDD password”.

4. Please note- the hard drive will not be detected on another system unless the user know the password for the Hard Drive

Please let us know if this helped.

Hi,

I can't seem to find an option for the HDD password under the security tab in UEFI. I can only see "Admin password, System password etc." I'm using a dell xps13 9350
