RAM Config order for 4GB DIMMs

Hello.

please provide reference that shows what order i need to put four 4gb DIMMs in for one cpu. i also need to know this information for four cpus and four DIMMs. is a membridge necessary when using one cpu for the ram to work properly?

For 1 processor CPU1, you may test with 4 memory modules on Slots A1,A2,A3 &A4. However, this configuration is not listed as supported. Yes, for supported configuration with CPU1, you will need a FlexMem bridge on CPU3 slot. This bridge enables CPU1 to have access to CPU3 memory slots C1,C2, .........C7 &C8 such that you will have the 4 memory modules installed in Slots A1,A2 and C1 &C2.

With 4 processors CPU1, CPU2,CPU3 &CPU4, you will need a minimum of 8 memory modules for optimal memory configuration on Slots A1 &A2 of CPU1, Slots B1 &B2 of CPU2, Slots C1 &C2 of CPU3 and Slots D1 &D2 of CPU4

what is the minimum amount of 4gb ram DIMMs that a poweredge r810 will run on and how to configure that?

Refer to memory configuration with CPU1 above. It is a minimum supported number of any supported DIMM size.
