Updates 12/13/16 - Windows Updates, Flash/AIR, CCleaner, Firefox, SAS
This thread is currently "under construction", and will be edited for the remainder of today. Please excuse any blank spaces or crossed-out "placeholders" for items expected to be announced.
Today is Microsoft Tuesday --- the SECOND Tuesday of the month --- on which Microsoft is expected to release its monthly cycle of Windows security updates. Based on previous history, they should become available at 1 P.M. [USA - Eastern STANDARD Time]
Reminder that there is a new procedure: Windows Update for consumer PCs will offer a [single] security monthly quality update (also known as the "monthly rollup") that will contain all new security fixes for a month... plus fixes from all previous monthly rollups.
A rollup is simply multiple patches rolled together into a single update. These rollups will replace individual patches . Each monthly rollup will supersede the previous month's rollup. The ultimate goal is for these monthly rollups to become fully cumulative, which will happen as the team adds patches released in the past, so users need only to install the latest single rollup.

Adobe Flash has released version 24.0.0.186
In today's scheduled release, we've updated Flash Player and AIR with important bug fixes, security updates, and new features.
These updates address critical vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
Adobe is aware of a report that an exploit for CVE-2016-7892 exists in the wild, and is being used in limited, targeted attacks against users running Internet Explorer (32-bit) on Windows --- meaning today's patch is "urgent".

CCleaner v5.25.5902 (13 Dec 2016)
- Added support for Firefox Web Extensions
- Improved Firefox History and Cache cleaning
- Improved Chrome and Opera Session cleaning
- Improved Edge Extensions management
- Improved DPI awareness and support
- Minor GUI improvements
- Minor bug fixes
Either be careful to UNcheck any pre-checked offers for bundled programs/toolbars (unless you really want them)... or else, wait a few days until the SLIM build is released.

Remark: Since Windows Update now offers users only the "Monthly Quality Rollup", I am no longer going to list the individual updates here... those interested can consult the above link.

EDIT: On this particular Win7x64 SP1 system, the Windows Quality Rollup (kb 3207752) was 142.8 MB. Additionally, I was offered a quality rollup for DotNet, and 5 updates for Office 2010

I am dreading this month's Auto Update because on the 9th Friday my desktop installed the following
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3201845).
Following that the desktop had it's restart cycle... I lost the internet connection.
I could not access on the browser my router...
Just (desperate, not knowing what nest to do) restarted and got the connection back.
Then on searching the internet, I could find few others talking about the same problem.
Just now here in UK on the BBC website find this:

I am now not sure if this Patch Tuesday Automatic update is going to scupper my desktop?

Yes, but if your PC lost its internet connection after the rollup, how are you supposed to check for the KB that supposedly fixes this problem?
Not everyone has a 2nd PC where they can manually download the KB onto a USB stick and bring it over to the system without network connectivity....
Prob didn't happen to me when I installed the rollup, so I'm just playing the :emotion-14: 's advocate.
