Fitting a USB 3.0 PCIe card in an Inspiron 580 MT
Hi there,
Is it possible to fit a USB 3.0 PCIe Card into an Inspiron 580 MT, & can that card co-exist with the 2.0 ports that are already there?
Any help appreciated!

* Yes, in either of the PCIe x1 slots.
can that card co-exist with the 2.0 ports that are already there?
* As long as the card manufacturer can provide the driver for the operating system, yes.

Thanks for the link.
Being in Germany I went for the unit below. Inateck do provide the necessary drivers as a Download. Also, this one free PCI-e port is right by the fan of my Nvidia Video card (The second one is hidden by the fan), & this card being very "short" stops any masking of the fan,
(Plus they were selling an "as new" unit for EUR 7,99 - it's covered by their warranty, so I basically got a new card for a tiny price!)

Update - I had to take the card out. We are having some speed issues with the Computer right now & removing the card seemed to help a little - maybe the power supply is feeling its age or maybe the improvement is psychological, I don't really know :-(
