Using Dell Laptop as a Video Monitor

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to utilize a Inspirion 6000 as a video monitor. My goal is to run an s-video out of my camcorder(4-pin), into the s-video connection(7-pin) of the laptop. I'll be recording video inside the camcorder, but hoping to see the much larger image from the Inspirion 6000.

The 6000 was purchased back in 2005.

Any suggestions on how I could pull this off?

You'll need a USB capture device with the requisite inputs.

The S-video on the notebook is output only - it cannot be used as an input.
