Dell optiplex 5050 / 7050 M.2
Hi,
I've a question regarding the M.2 on Dell Optiplex 5050 & 7050.
On the US website the M.2 only supports storage, but on the BR and PT websites the M.2 is for wifi. I'm guessing there's an error on BR and PT website, right?

You sent the link for the English site to the OptiPlex 5050 Micro, but the Brazilian and Portuguese sites are for the OptiPlex 5050 Tower and Small Form Factor. Which are you planning to purchase?

Hi,
I'm planning to buy the tower. The issue here is the M.2 slot. I'm guessing it only supports storage, right?

Hi Pedro,
The Tower and Small Form Factor both have a single M.2 slot for storage. The Micro has two M.2 slots, one for storage and one for WLAN.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer. Ok, so no M.2 for wifi on tower model like I guessed, but what I don't understand is the support for Intel 8265 wifi on tower and SFF models if the M.2 doesn't support wifi. I can only find the Intel 8265 on M.2 form factor. How does the tower and sff support this card? Or there's another form factor I don't know about?
