But I installed it on a multi-GPU system without problems. No external displays attached.

I just got upgraded. So far no issues, although I have 1803 with the Insiders version and there were no problems.

I am in the same boat with 2 Alienware 17 R4 Laptops. Error Message "Cannot uninstall Apps: Hybrid Laptop with discrete GPU connected to display" App and I cannot find it ..... No External display connected besides Laptop Display. I have also tried removing Amplifier Software and Intel and NVIDIA drivers to no avail. This is unacceptable from MicroCrap!

Hi,
I can't update to 1803 because I was pleased to uninstall smthg like "Hybrid laptops with discrete GPU connected to display"
I've been looking for it for a long time but still couldn't find it
How can I fix it?

I just discovered I could not download Windows Mixed Reality software with the Insiders update to 17134.5. After uninstalling that update, which makes it like the public build (17134.1), the software downloaded normally.

also hitting error "Hybrid laptops with discrete GPU connected to display" when trying to install 1803 update.
Alienware 15 R3, which is on the list of tested devices by Dell...

I just upgraded my Inspiron 15 "gaming" laptop which has both Intel and NVIDIA video and no problems that I found.

Alien, you may want to start a new thread. But I do not know what the Hybrid component is you are being forced to uninstall.

Installed this morning on my XPS 13
no problem except with my TB16 dock.
no network card, no sound. The external display is working
