Replacing ATA drives in a CX500

Question

I have a CX500 running flare 02.19.500.5.040 with a DPE2 and a DAE2-ATA. I had 4x 320 Gig 5k PATA drives in the ATA enclosure, I tried to add 6 new SATA 500 Gig 7.2k drives but they are coming up with a fault. Navisphere see's the bays as empty. The 320 gig pata drives were not being used, so I destroyed that array and removed those drives. There are only the new 6 sata drives in that enclosure at the moment. I tried rebooting it and it didn't help. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi, Though ATA I doubt if this is problem with Enclosures not recognizing SATA drives and not compatible with PATA DAE and your test results already confirmed the findings.

At your place I would upgrade FLAE code to the latest availible (02.26.500.5.031 in your case). May be problem can be solved by upgrading to 02.24.500.5.022 of to 02.19.500.5.045 version.
