location of FAST Cache drives

Question

Do we need to place the FAST Cache drives in the DPE. A customer is having a 3.5inch DPE loaded with NL-SAS and we want to add some 2.5 inch EFD's in the extra 2.5 inch DAE. In CXP we can't select 2.5 inch FAST Cache drives as our DPE is 3.5 inch. Do we need to place it in the DPE? Regards, John Grinwis

Thanx, so they don't have to be in the DPE. We can use our VNX5300 DPE full with NL-SAS and use the extra 2.5' DAE with FAST Cache. Regards, John
