Disk Failure in Symmetrix
There is a disk failure in symmetrix. We can see it with command
symdisk -sid xxx list -failed
How can I come to know which storage group have their luns residing on this physical device?
How can I check this ?

Welcome to EMC Community!
The command you should use is : symdev -sid xxx list -service_state degraded
This will list devices that have hypers on the failed disk.
To list storage group that those devices are member of:
symaccess -sid xxx list -type storage -devs [dev id]
