SAN Performance issues - Use the following diagram for a step by step process for engaging with EMC support and reduce time to relief.
Goal:
To deliver faster problem resolution in order to get your environment recovered as quickly as possible. To provide a more detailed step by step process for engaging with EMC support and reduce time to relief.
There can be many reason as to why you would encounter a SAN performance issue. SAN architectures experience performance problems for a variety of reasons, including increased workloads, the addition of new applications or tools or a slow drain device and/or due to the below errors and events.
CRC Errors
Code Violation Errors
Loss of Sync
Link Resets
Logins and Log outs
Class 3 Discards
Loss of Signal
Link Failures
Exchange completion times
SCSI Reservation Conflicts
The following diagram shows the initial steps that can be carried out by the user to troubleshoot the issue.

If after following the above diagram and you need to open an SR with EMC please make sure have gathered an initial set of logs along with logs after the stats have been cleared.
