Laptop turns ON when unplugged

If I shut down my Inspiron normally, wait for a reasonable amount of time (30 sec) and unplug the power, the laptop turns itself ON for no reason.

Does anyone know what this is? Dell does not want to help even though I reported this issue within warranty

What model computer and which operating system? When you unplug the adapter, the internal battery runs the computer. The computer might not be turning off completely.

This sounds to me like you all have fast start up still in use, and then something in your system is looking for an update or trying to stay connected to a One Drive or simular program.

Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com)

Fast start is the default setting for shut down. as windows is installed This is actually a Hybrid Sleep mode

Once you have a complete shut down that should stop the restarting.

If you need to keep the fast start up you'll have to find out which programs are allowed to restart your computer from sleep mode and put an end to them doing that.

You may have to change setting in your BIOS as to what is allowed to restart your computer automatically
