Alienware Wireless Headset AW988 Issues
Hello!
Wondering if anyone can provide help or assistance for this issue, i have the headset stated above and its been great for 6 months, But recently two issues have cropped up.
First some info:
Windows 10
Using headset wireless mainly
Have updated drivers and the alienware centre.
My headset constantly disconnects and reconnects whilst im using it, happens randomly and ive tried moving the USB dongle to different ports also.
Second Issue
My friends can hear severe distortions when i talk sometimes, its random not sure what causes it. They describe it as im a robot for 2-3 seconds.
Any ideas and solutions ill take.

Having the same issue. Had my headset for about 6 months as well.

I have been having the exact same issues. Headset audio that I hear starts getting fuzzy and distorted and people hear me the same fuzzy and distorted way for a few seconds. Sometimes it resolves itself but more often than not it disconnects and I hear, "Connected" and this happens often.. Probably every 2-3 minutes I'm using the headset. I too have tried updating all software and firmware with the Command Center as well as each peripheral, moving the USB receiver dongle to other USB ports, plugged in, not plugged in. Nothing has fixed it. Would appreciate some sort of attention to this issue.

Your headset drivers are corrupted most likely. What you will want to do is uninstall the drivers for your headset. Then remove the device in the Device Manager restart you machine then reinstall the headset like it is the first time to use them and it will clear the issue out in 2 minutes.
