Aurora R9, FPS dropped (and some unattached wires)

@Just_Xpro    . . . everything has been working fine for about a year until my FPS just suddenly dropped 40 FPS and stayed at that level.

There was most likely another simultaneous event that affected your FPS rate drop; BIOS update, Windows update, driver(s) update, etc. Some of these updates may cause settings to change, so I would look for the 'offending event' and double check all of your settings.

All desktops have unattached wiring inside for future updates. Don't be concerned if all the hardware is working.

What do you mean by unattached cables?  Spare sata power and 6+2 pcie cables from the PSU (normal)? Or something else?  The spare power cables should be wrapped and hidden behind the metal box on the swing out psu arm.  

@Anonymous Are there certain settings that I should be looking at, or should I just look through them to make sure everything looks the same?

@r72019 I was told by someone else that they are for future updates, and yes they are hidden/in the box.

Yeah I saw the prior comments.  The R9 has several spare SATA power cables, plus (with your GPU) 1 or 3 spare pcie power cables depending on if you got the 460W or 850W option.  The SATA is for adding additional had drives, and the PCiE power cables are for either adding SLI or a more power hungry GPU.  The unused power cables are all bundled up in the metal box.  If you had any loose cables outside of the swinging metal box, or any unused data cables, then it would be problematic.  The R9 should not have any unused cables visible when you open the case.  Just wanted to make sure you were referring to unused power cables in the metal box (normal), and not any other unused cable (not normal). That was the only reason I mentioned it.

Hi there! We haven't heard back from you. Please let us know if you were able to try out what we recommended.

I’ve looked through my pc and I see nothing new. I updated all my drivers and updated everything and it made my FPS rise from -40 to -30 which is progress, but then the next day it was back to -40 my normal FPS.

Well, those look decent. Not too shabby. But at least above 30.
