Bitlocker suspended by Dell Command Bios update

I understand this is known and expected behavior per:

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/command-update-v3.1/dellcommandupdate_3.1_ug/suspend-bitlocker?guid=guid-dfefeae0-580b-43a7-9451-0e8abc220572&lang=en-us#:~:text=The%20Dell%20Command%20%7C%20Update%20command,on%20the%20OS%20Boot%20drive

The problem is that when users click to install the update from dell command but then choose to not reboot their computers, the machine then has bitlocker suspended until they reboot.

Is there a way that you can force end users to reboot their machines if they click to install the bios - dell command update?

Thank you.

Hi @JJustus,

I'm Joey from the enterprise social support. What product range is affected?

Hi @DELL-Joey C,

We've seen this occur with the below models, but I don't believe the model matters - fairly certain it would effect any dell machine receiving any BIOS update from dell command

7490
5400
5410
5420

For an example, here is a screenshot of the bios update in question that is suspending bitlocker until a manual reboot is completed on the 5420 model:
