Hello.

Did you have a specific question regarding dedupe and GIS data?  I have attached the 5.6 documentation for dedupe.  Starting on page 22, it explains how you can manually test deduplication.  I would recommend following this and see yourself how it handles your deduped information.

Also, please keep in mind that there are various params associated with dedupe that can affect how this feature handles your data.  You can exlcude files based on size, extension or even within a specified path.
