Are there any best practices or gotchas when using 11.23 HP-UX and san copy.

I understand the SAN copy part but I am a little unsure on the volume group work.

I plan to :-

deactivate the volume groups

copy contents of the fstab

export the volume groups to a map file

power off the server

do the san copy work

remove host from source storage group

remove special files

add host to destination storage group and scan host

add new special files

vgimport saved map files but have a pointer to the new disks ( not sure if I need to have the pointer to the new disk?)

update fstab file

any help or advice would be very welcome
