I try update version from 2019 to 2020R1 but after upgarde i cannot connect to webpages... Oki I decide to reinstall. And pls I want connect to active directory. There is two option, Connect with existing account and create with admin account. Pls If I select admin account what this option doing in AD ? And if I select existing , which prerequisities for account ?
Here is the link to DSM 2020 administrator guide And in this guide it explains about the different ways to configure DSM with using active directory & using local user account. It also list out the prerequisites for each way.
Have you instated the data collector like it is stated on pages 34 & 35 of the admin guide?Have you looked at Authenticating Users with an External Directory Service on page 661? Have you also looked at Managing Local Users Through the Data Collector on page 667?
If you are looking to track performance it works better in 2019 than it does in 2020.Second, the add Datacollector to AD, I have checked with some of my counterparts and there are some issues with getting it to work consistently. It is best just use the local admin account.
Thank you i try search information in document but I cannot information.... there is not information about behavior join button or which spn i must register to service account.
i add with administrator account, but i do not find information about which account is use if I select admin account. Is created new or which account have assigned spn ...
In internet i read if use admin account this accout is not used for connecting, only for configuration.... it is true ? if true which changes is in AD ?
