Dell DW316, use with MacBook Pro?

Question

Can I and how do I use the Dell DW316 External USB DVDRW drive with my MacBook Pro? I do not have Microsoft Windows on my MacBook Pro.

I need help also.  I have same, works perfectly on my 2015 MacBook Pro, however my 2022 MacBook Pro it does not work.  I used a usb to usb-c dongle and it failed.  I bought a new cable so I can go direct to usb-c and it fails.  It just clicks.  Again it works fine on my older 2015.  It does show up in system information however.   Not sure what to do next?
