Dell G7 15 - 7588 Freezing
Long story short: I bought this laptop new about a week ago, and started to have crashing issues 3 days into ownership. I have heard Dell not having reliable computers, but this is ridiculous for such an expensive laptop.
So in detail, I have been having graphical glitches followed by crashing of the computer with screen freezing, multiple blue screens of deaths with differing error codes, mouse stuttering, and lastly an issue i can't seem to fix is when I close my laptop lid the laptop just freezes or has a black screen requiring a reset to fix.
I have tried to remedy the issues with Windows updates, and driver updates and BIOS updates. I have also uninstalled Dell Support Assist to deal with the screen freezing and stuttering issues. Overall, I have yet to experience another BSOD, but I haven't tested long enough to be certain its fixed. As for the mouse stuttering its less prevalent after uninstalling Dell Support Assist.
The main issue now is the closing the laptop lid freezes my laptop. I have done the changing what closing the lid does to "do nothing", and it still freezes. I have read that its an issue where the computer redirects the screen to an external source but I can't seem to find the BIOS setting to turn it off. BIOS is version 1.3 by the way.
Sorry for the incoherent rambling, just stressful with so many problems with a new laptop
Any suggestions will be helpful
Thanks,
