Ethernet device lost after suspend
After I updated my XPS 13 9343 to run kernel 3.19.0-51 #57, still running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, the computer no longer recognizes the USB Ethernet device after resuming from suspend. I got the ethernet device with the computer from Dell; its uses a Realtek chip. After resuming with the device still plugged in, it isn't listed by lsusb. The device was found after a resume and worked fine prior to the kernel update, and the problem persists with kernel 3.19.0-51 #58. If I remove the device and plug it back in, it does work. Seems a little odd. Other USB devices, both internal and plugged into the other port are found after resuming. I suppose this might be an Ubuntu issue, but I can't tell.
Anyone else seen new USB issues recently?
Trying running a dmidecode before and after suspend. On my 5510, dmidecode shows a corrupted DMI table after resume, meaning the BIOS is corrupting itself during a suspend/resume cycle.
This maps very well to the intermittent suspend resume problems I see, including exactly what you describe, as well as intermittent reboots on resume.
The only solution I've found is to avoid suspend.

The exact same thing is hapenning to me With Linux Mint 18.1 (Ubuntu 16.04 Based) with kernel 4.8.0-34
Note that I am using the officlal Dell USB type C adapter and referring to the Dell XPS 13 9360 newer model.
