I am using the Dell XPS 13 9350 with Ubuntu 16.04, and I am experiencing random screen flickering where the screen will flicker to black for a split second.  This happens repeatedly every few seconds for half a minute or so.  Then the issue will disappear for a few minutes, but randomly come back.

I have experienced using Ubuntu 16.04 with Unity, Gnome, and XFCE.  I have tried using Kernel 4.4 and 4.5, they both exhibit the issue.  I can't figure out anything specifically that will cause the issue to happen, it happens right after a cold boot, under fairly idle conditions, under heavy graphics load, and under heavy CPU load, all at random times.

Is Dell aware of this issue?  Is this a known issue in Linux or is it a known common hardware defect with the XPS 13 9350?
